Trident Seafoods Corporation is a marketer of crab, lobster and scallop flavored varieties of surimi, a Japanese minced fish product. The company sells more than 170 million pounds of surimi-based products each year. Its Seafood Delights line of products, made with steam-baked Alaskan Pacific White Fish, includes Crab Delights, Lobster Delights and Scallop Delights. Established in Duluth, Minn., in 1930, the company was founded by Aron and Abe Kemp, who transported fish from Lake Superior to markets in Chicago. The company employs more than 300 people and maintains a location in Motley, Minn.
