Chicken Bryani is very good but very costly for the amount what you get. Not even enough for one person. It cost $14 for it but the in very small container. Rip off. other dishes not sure

This is the best Indian restaurant in the mooresville nc area! The food was amazing and you could taste all the fresh flavors and spice. Lunch buffet was authentic, delicious and fresh! The décor was really nice and set a nice intimate yet not overly formal tone. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was sent out quickly....loved the chai tea too. This is a true diamond and the prices are just right. My family and I ate here at the lunch buffet. The service was amazing. My favorite dish was saag paneer; my husband's was the chicken tikki masala. Their samosas are delicious. We also tried a family dinner at this restaurant the food is so delicious and the veggies taste so fresh. And not greasy like some places we've tried.Truly a great neighborhood gem and a good all-around value!

Very worst place for a indian lunch buffet. Food in the buffet are like two days old and you cannot even feel like tasting it. Bad taste, bad ambience and old food. Please stay away from this place.

Love the spicy Indian food served at this restaurant, particularly the items in the "Avant Garde" menu which are unique creations of the chef / owner at the restaurant. Definitely worth a try if only for the Avant Garde offerings!

The management of Zaika Indian Cuisine, Mooresville, NC has changed since July 20, 2013 - a full 2 months after this review was added. The new management has an entirely new team including the chef, the serving staff and the Restaurant Manager. The menu is also not the same and a lot of new dishes have been added. They have also created a new website - www.ZaikaIndianCuisineNC.com - of which I am the web developer.

I would encourage you to kindly visit the restaurant and please mention yourself as the person who has added this review to Yellow Pages. The new owner is very keen to change your judgement of the restaurant - you will be pleasantly surprised.

I took my family here for a sp...

I took my family here for a special birthday treat for my wife. Appetizers were OK, but when the entrees arrived that's when things went downhill quickly.

Instead of flavorsome, vibrant dishes with the spice and taste combinations that one expects from good Indian food we were served bland inedible slop. A Chicken Vindaloo which should have been sour and hot was a tasteless mess of tomato sauce with a dash of vinegar. Lamb Rogan Josh tasted like 2 day old stew, with tough chunks of meat and no discernible attempt at adding spices or even garlic and ginger. A basket of assorted breads was cold and hard.

When I complained to the waiting staff their attitude was awful, and some of the things they said and did were just plain weird. I was told 'I didn't know what I was talking about', that the food was 'the best food they'd ever eaten', and at one point a waiter went in the back and came back with a bowl of hot spice paste, stuck it in front of me and told me to stir it in to the food myself 'to spice it up a bit'.

My 9 year old ate the Fish curry, but she was the only one who ate anything. The rest of us just left it as it was truly disgusting. Appalled by the awful atmosphere the waiting staff were generating as they took the uneaten food away, I asked for the check. There was no effort on the part of the staff to placate us or adjust the check to remove the offending articles.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any stranger or more bizarre, the same female waiter who a few minutes earlier had pretty much told me I was a know-nothing idiot appeared from the back carrying a tray of thimble size mango drinks and to a stony reception insisted on singing 'Happy Birthday'!

To end the whole horrendous debacle, and despite my personal reservations, I paid the check - $115, for which I got some appetizers and two mouthfuls of food. The five of us left in silence, four of us still hungry.

My wife's birthday was ruined.

This site won't allow a zero star review so I've had to give it a very undeserved one star. Not only was the food in this place the worst Indian food I've ever tasted, it was without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant in my entire life.
