Liquids

On March 16, 2012 at 11:16 a.m., I along with my female friend made an attempt to enter your establishment, Liquids. I was dressed with a dress shirt black slacks and black shoes when I was turned away due to I was out of dress code. A black security guard proceeded to tell me that my dress shirt was too long I then asked what was attire change in to what they asked and was still turned around after are trip back to Liquids. I ask the black security guard for his name and which he refused to say. That was not the real issue though. The real issue is as we walked away “for the second time” me and my lady friend notice and watch a group of white males with longer collar shirts be let in without an issue. I proceeded to go and talk to the gentleman about the situation and he told me that those individuals work with the owners and they were not getting special treatment. He then turned around other black individuals and let other ethnic groups in, which looks like discrimination from our stand point. If there will be such a violation of dress codes with dress shirts being too long, I can only ask that this policy stands for all races or none at all. As one of the previous satisfied customer I am sad to say that you have lost several customers for good. I love the bartenders and the services that is given inside the building however, this type of services is not acceptable and will be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I do not wish to turn this into a big situation, however when I see incorrect procedures I will do everything in my power to correct them. As a paying citizen in the Montgomery County all I can ask for is respect and fair rules.
