During her MPH practicum at the Hoag Memorial Hospital, Newport Beach, CA, she participated in research within an underserved Latino community. Upon completion, she developed educational materials to inform and increase awareness of diabetic retinopathy. Her achievements awarded her the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health. Her passion is to continue working in her community to provide access to quality, affordable eye care.
