General Info: The MAOF General Childcare Center, headquartered in Montebello, Calif., offers full day care services to children. The program is funded by the California Department of Education and has the capacity to serve more than 775 children on a daily basis. The services are based on various eligibility criteria, such as referrals from the Department of Social Services, employment, vocational training, incapacity, and families receiving public assistance and residing in shelter homes. The program offers an enriched curriculum, serves daily meals, implements a kindergarten readiness program and provides bilingual education. The organization has more than 10 child care sites serving Los Angeles, San Diego and Monterey counties, Calif. The program operates throughout the year, except major holidays, and serves children of ages six weeks to five years. Infant and toddler services are available only at certain locations.
