I loved the store. Had not been to a bookstore in 3 years. However, please beware of buying the membership. I was offered 3 "free" magazine subscriptions with the yearly membership fee of $25. I specifically asked the cashier if the magazines would be on auto renewal and she told me no. Then after I signed for my purchase, including the books I bought, membership and "free magazine trial", my printed receipt states "I authorize Books A Million to send my Credit/Debit card to Magazine Rewards to charge my card for the initial and renewal terms as described in the brochure I received...". Not what the employee told me. And no brochure was given to me. Very unethical giving my private banking info to a third party. Shame on you.

I went in to check out how the book store looked and haven't been in it for years! I bought several books that I easily found and renewed my membership card. The person that waited on me, could not have been nicer and took the time to share all the discounts and where to print them out from on the web. This was my first experience with the "renovated" store and I found the customer service excellent!
Terrible phone customer service. I called to see if this location bought used university books, seeing as this location sells used books. A representative by the name of Holly picked up the phone, and gave her greeting. I proceeded to start asking my question. As soon as I said the word "buy" she to cut me off in mid sentence with a very stern, gruff "NO". I understand she most likely gets this question quite a few times during the day, but being someone who works in a customer service setting myself, i would have been written up by my managers/supervisor for being rude for no reason to the customer. This is a bad customer experience in my opinion, and I don't think i'll be shopping at this location again as long as Holly is "assisting" your customers.
