About Jamil Harris While working toward an associate degree in physical therapy from Meridian Community College in Meridian, MS, Jamil Harris divided his time between being a store manager and helping to organize school events and activities. He also was a residential assistant who supervised campus housing. But when Jamil received his degree in 2012, he was ready to embrace a new and different challenge. He found it at American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL). Jamil joined the AIL family in 2013, and has been on overdrive ever since. "Being promoted to State General Agent in less than four years at the age of 25," says Jamil, "is one of my greatest accomplishments with American Income Life and allows me to provide a wonderful lifestyle for my daughter." Jamil knows life is about giving back. "I do a lot of community events, where I speak to different youth groups in the city giving insight on how they can better themselves in life. I enjoy events involving children or fundraising events. My Agency also collects and donates can goods to anyone who needs food." Writing, music, dancing, and physical training are main interests for Jamil. "In my free time, I write, sing, dance, and work out," he adds.
