Blackwater Canoe Rental & Sales

My Uncle and I went and had a great day on the trip! We enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day. The first 7 miles is the absolute best part of the trip. We will most certainly be returning. This was my first time in a kayak and I am now hooked! The staff is courteous and friendly, and they work diligently to make the experience one to remember.

This old veteran had a very enjoyable time kayaking down the Black Water River. I can't wait to take amy grandsons on a trip down the river. Ernie your the man!!!

I called to ask for some local advice of where to put in and where to take out my own boat. The lady I talked to on the phone was super rude, wouldn't give any information out to me and hung up on me. I used to work for a white water rafting company and often helped private boaters plan their trips even though they weren't paying me. Not impressed!

Blackwater River is a beautiful place to spend a day outdoors and the staff at Blackwater Canoe Rental goes over and beyond for their customers. The customer service and hospitality by far exceeds expectations. Also, the river itself is clear and has pretty white sandbars all along the way to stop and swim. I would recommend to anyone wanting to canoe/kayak/tube!

This place is AWESOME!!! The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I have a family of 5 with three young boys. There were some people along the lake who were using less than acceptable language and the outpost staff actually went out of their way to say something to them and remind them this is a family place with small kids. I thought this was very admirable of them!



Just remember, the staff cannot control Mother Nature so if the river is running too fast or the water is murky, TOTALY NOT THEIR FAULT!!!



But if you want a great time for the entire family then this is the place to go. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Blackwater is a beautiful river with a great family atmosphere. The Blackwater Canoe Rental staff is very friendly, helpful and informative. We had a wonderful experience and will be back for many years to come.
