Our family has used this marine for years. We have recommended all our friends, neighbors, and relatives to go here. They always provide honest work and get it done quickly. There will always be complainers no matter how hard you try. Something tells me the poor reviews come from people who complain about everything, everywhere. Top notch small business.

BEWARE!!! Started off so nice, "yep just drop it off and we will do it". They don't know how to service SeaDoo. Kept ours for a month only, charged us $700 and then said it was actually something else broken!!! The owner Lori McCann (sp) yells at you for asking a question and hung up on me when I was just trying to pay our bill!!! Unbelievable, thought I was on candid camera. There are several other small claims cases against them! The other staff I spoke with once was very nice, but Go anywhere else.

The most unprofessional people I've ever met! I stored a pontoon with them last year and when I took it out for the summer, the motor wasn't running right. So we brought it in again, they said they guarantee their work. They later called and said there was a problem with one of the plugs in there andit would cost 600 to fix! It was fine when I brought it to them and now messed up... it's near my home so I just paid to do it. Then I brought my jetski to be looked over and tuned up, I told them to LOOK IT OVER and let me know what it needs. They called and said its ready to go and would be around 250$ I looked at my receipt and they charged 170$ alone to "water test" it!?!?! again I paid the bill and they said it runs like a champ. R

Took it to the lake a wewk later, won't start. Take it back to them, need a new battery! Wth, when I question it, the lady (said she was the owner) started freaking out and then kicked me out for asking why this wasn't recognized right away. Spent over 1,000 in a week to only be treated like crap. NEVER AGAIN GO THERE!

The worst experience ever! I would never recommend this business. I went to pick up my boat after repair. Prior to this, I received a call that many additional things needed to be fixed or replaced beyond my original concern. Can I trust them? Not being marine mechanical, I approved all the work with one expection, replacing the marine battery. I knew my battery was in working condition when I dropped off the boat as it was nearly new and no past problems. There was no doubt in my mind the battery was fully operatable so I said "no". When I returned to pick up the boat, I noticed my battery was gone. The counter person apparently searched high and low but it was nowhere to be found. When I confronted the female counter person who pleasantly took my payment moments earlier (repairs were not cheap), she literally started yelling violently at me when I demanded my battery or a replacement. She screamed "I told you on the phone your battery was no good!" and went on about how stupid I was and that i know nothing. I was in shock as I was ridiculed in front of other customers. Incredibly there was no holding back from this person who refused to be reasonable or professional. She screamed that she was the owner and she doesn't have my battery and she will not replace it since she told me it was no good! She demanded that I get off her property as I was not welcomed anymore and was never to return. I have to say that I was so shocked in the treatment and even concerned for my safety I gladly left without any backlash. Days later I researched small claims court filings in Polk County and found multiple filings against this company. If I didn't have my relative along with me to verify the incident, I know it sounds unbelievable. This really happened. The story still comes up in conversations when we talk about our worst customer service and business repair nightmares. I let it go and purchased a new battery in Siren where I was treated with respect.

I recently bought a cabin in a new area when I found myself in need of getting my boat motor worked on. I asked a few neighbors and they told me to go to Milltown Dock & Marine. My boat motor was fixed in record time and hasn't ran this good in years. Customer service was really good and their store is full of good boating stuff. After talking with other boat owners in the neighborhood I discovered most of them use the same marine because they are always treated well. I will go back for sure. Great place to go..would highly recommend to anyone.

I took my boat to Milltown Doc...

I took my boat to Milltown Dock & Marine for repair and had the absolute worst experience of my life. They had my boat for 7 weeks! Every 3 days I called and it was one problem after another. It really seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. It truly seemed like they were guessing. The motor on my boat worked perfectly with the exception of some issues with the control cables. I asked that they replace my control box with one I purchased and that's where it all started. I finally picked my boat up after almost 2 months and not only does it not function the way it should, it's worse. I now have to pull start the motor and have to choke it to turn it off. I spent over $700, got many of my own parts because they couldn't seemingly get them shipped from Forest Lake, MN about 40 miles away, got my boat back worse than it was and on top of that I was treated so poorly I was shocked. I asked the shop to keep all the original parts which they didn't. The "tossed them out" as part of their shop cleaning. The whole experience was a nightmare. I won't recommend this business to anyone. I always like to support local businesses but this is one I can't. Beware of this business!

Quick update on my post, took my boat to Arrow Marine just down the road in St. Croix Falls, they had it fixed in less than an hour and it works great! These guys also serviced and stored my boat this Winter for $80 less money, just put it in the water this past Saturday and it runs great!
