Food good, price a little shocking but at reasonably high prices $35+ per plate and children's plates $19+. Then a few extra item charges are added to base rate. Great place to wow a girlfriend or drop $200 on a family of four or five. At this price they need to add Brazilian musicians and/or Portuguese singers after 5pm. The salad bar alone will fill you up but then they come out with the meats and cut off how much you want. This is the extra charges per meat. You grip the meat with a special tongs while they cut it and you have a card that is green with more meat please on one side or red with no more meat thank you on the other near your plate. The flowing water fountains and interior design add to the atmosphere you are paying for, it is interesting. Almost like eating outdoors but inside. The only thing I thought really strange was "check please" there was no visible cashier to pay near the entrance instead it is done in the back room by the waiter out of sight. I just like to watch my transactions and budget. This is a great place to splurge on food and spend dollars to help the local economy.
This may be the best overall value for food in Midland. The steak is always prepared as requested and it is always very tasty, juicy and tender. The service is lightning fast and the food stays hot all the way home. Take advantage of their specials for the best value.

When I think steak I think Outback, It's simply great, meat is always perfectly cooked and for me, it's all that matters. Plus service is good, and decor does the job. I don't mind the driving all the way from Odessa at all :)
I have eaten all over this great country and this was by far the worst I have ever had. There was no showmanship by the 18 year old Mexican hibachi cook ,the price was high, and the service was very poor. By far the worst tasting habachi I've eaten, but on the bright side the sushi was good.
I used the app to place my meal at 7:15 to 7:30pm. I ordered over 30.00 of food. I informed the unit clerk at that time I had ordered. At approximately 8:30 pm someone called and stated they were really busy and delivery would be over 2 hours. Informed her that was fine that I worked all night. At 11:10 pm I called and spoke with Brandy who stated she was the manager. I explained that had not received my food and it had been over 2 hours. Brandy stated that the only delivery to the hospital for tonight was for a Tracy on the fifth floor. That was a LIE. Jennifer a coworker had her food delivered and we work on the same unit. The driver informed Brandy that he went to the fifth and sixth floor looking for Tracy. The 5th and 6th unit clerk denies this. Also I paid with my credit card which has my name clearly on it. Brandy told me she cancelled my order at 8:00pm because there was no one by the name Tracy on the unit. Well if it takes 2 hours to delivery and Hunter came around10 to 10:30pm. Why was my order cancelled by Brandy at 8pm. I smell a lie. I asked for a corporate office number and Brandy laughed and stated "ha you're just to cute". Brandy continued to laugh and be rude, disrespectful and unacceptable behavior for a person of her position. Brandy also stated she had called her General manger at 8pm about the supposedly undeliverable food. Why would she call GM at 8pm as I was informed when I inquired about the call. I asked for the GM name and phone number. Brandy laughed and stated "you're just to much". I informed her I would give a bad review, and talk with the newspaper and possibly the tv channel investigative reporter that gives information on local news. Brandy stated "go ahead and laughed". She asked me for the last 4 digits of my credit card and then would not wait until I could obtain the information she requested. I do not believe Brandy or Hunter. Brandy should be held and accountable to a higher level of professionalism to have a job of her title. I will never order from here again nor will my family nor my extended family. I also offered to give her my confirmation number of my order which she was not interested. Poor poor crappy nasty rude unprofessional manger. Her statements to the timeline of my order to be delivered and her timeline of her events with the driver and GM do not reflect truthful statements. I suggest you try ordering from another steak place that has much better service and professional staff
Horrible service!!!!!! Ordered food and was presented to me cold. My drinks were wrong...... Then to top it off my date potatoes were well over cooked. All we received was apologizing management, that still did show any discount with meal granted we had to wait nor a gift certificate for the inconvenience. I will never eat at this place again!
I took my family there (6-17-16) Much to my sadness, I ordered the Sirloin K-Bob, and it would be my luck that while chewing the vegetables in the k-bob, I found something hard enough to chip a tooth. I was able to find the chip of tooth and showed it to her. She-manager (Amanda) was very apologetic and took my info and she assured me that her corporate office would take care of my tooth and make the incident right. Corporate refused the claim.Really sad, especially for a higher end restaurant.
Someone needs to slow their roll about being the best steaks ever! Venture out a bit because these steaks are sub par at best. Not to mention the fact that the price of them is through the roof. Do yourself a favor, go next door to Logan's roadhouse, pay 5-10$ less for the exact same steak and cut, and enjoy the rolls, they are amazing.O ya and the wait staff Isn't the best but the management is good.
Best salad bar. Their attempt at being a high class steakhouse is a failure in my book because the steaks are not of decent quality but the other food they have on the menu is good.
What's Up!!! This restaurant is no longer in business. Mexican restaurant opening. As if we need another one in Midland, TX.
Service was terrible, rude all over
(Short answer - haven't eaten there yet, poor service, will spread the word, wont step foot in the Midland, TX Saltgrass ever again)Yesterday I decided to try this place out for the first time. It was my husbands birthday and I wanted to treat him to something nice. We walked in at 4:58 pm.and were promptly seated. I was shocked since this place is still fairly new and a lot of tables were seated. We were provided our menus and the hostess walked away. We watched 3 or 4 waitstaff walk by our table, at least 3 what I would assume were managers (light blue shirts) also walked by. About 3-5 minutes after we walk in, an older couple is seated right next to us. We watch a few the waitstaff chit chatting near the back computer by the kitchen and others checking their tables. Finally after about 7-8 minutes a guy comes to the older couples table and gets their drink order then comes to our table and says, "I'm (name) and I won't be your server today but could I go ahead and get your drink order?" Drinks arrive, ask for a straw, he hands us 1 straw, I ask for more, he comes back with 1 (there are 4 of us)...seems mad that he has to get more straws. Our drinks arrive a few minutes later. After approximately 15 minutes of us sitting there, the waiter walks to the older couple next to us and takes their order and then comes to our table (we were there first but I guess arrival times don't matter) and says, "I'm ( name ) and I'll be your server today, so did we get your drinks situated?" I probably made a rear of myself but the drinks are on the table in front of us so the question must have been rhetorical but I answered with a smart remark. He asked me if everything was ok and I tried to politely explain that it was not and for a first impression of an overpriced steakhouse, I could not believe the way we were treated. He quickly apologized and blamed shift change for the wait (after reading reviews I'm not sure I believe that)...explained the specials blah blah blah. We placed our order, he said he was going to get the manager to our table and walked away. About 3 minutes later we decided to leave. I was nice enough to tell them to cancel our order. The female (I guess manager) asked me why and asked if there was anything she could do to make it right. I told her that I would rather go somewhere that I know I would be treated right and wouldnt have to worry about someone spitting in my food now that I had been rude. My Facebook post about our Saltgrass revealed that it sucks horribly and the food isnt all that great...nor the cooks. Texas Roadhouse seated us immediately, had a very friendly, upbeat smiling waitress that received well over a 20% tip.
Great place to eat. LOT and LOT of good food. Great service. Can't wait to go back. You really need to go there and try it out. You'll love it.
