Great selection, but the custo...

Great selection, but the customer service and delivery are Horrible! You might have a great experience in the store, but when you purchase from RTG you get the whole package and the rest of the deal can be a nightmare! I was lied to twice about deliver dates!! See below.



Wednesday, Dec. 12th - Walked in to Rooms To Go in New Orleans and purchased the Cindy Crawford sectional sofa sleeper (queen size). Sales rep (Judy S.) states that they only have half in stock and the other half will be in mid-January. I agree to purchase the couch piece and wait on the sleeper piece. Delivery scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 20th.



Thursday, Dec. 20th - Called around 9AM to confirm delivery. Stated correct delivery address; delivery time frame confirmed at 3PM - 7PM. Received call at 1:10PM notifying me of deliver within the hour. Waited at my apartment til 2PM when I received a call from the delivery guy. Despite the fact that I had called that morning and confirmed with my correct delivery address, they sent the couch to my billing address located 1.5 hrs away. I call customer service to complain. After about 30 minutes, they say they will be able to deliver later that day. I immediately receive a call from a person saying she's in the delivery dept. (female named Dionne?) and they will have to reschedule. I say "Are you sure? I just spoke to someone who said they can deliver today.". She says "Yes, I'm the person she was talking to and I told her 'I can't promise anything'". I complain and she says she'll e-mail the delivery manager and let me know. I get a call back 20 mins later and she says she can delivery BOTH pieces on Saturday (12/22).



Saturday, Dec. 22nd - Called around 9AM to confirm delivery. No notes or scheduled delivery in the system reflecting what I was told. I complain and and demand to have a supervisor call me back. After waiting an hour, I call the store and speak to my sales rep to complain. She tells me they can deliver on Saturday, the 30th. I decline and demand to speak to a manager and receive it sooner. She says they will call me back. No manager ever called back, but a cust service supervisor calls me and she said a delivery had been scheduled for the 30th. I told her I never agreed to that and want it sooner. She says she can have it delivered on Monday (12/24) but the time will be at the discretion of the delivery person and they will call ahead an hour in adv.



Monday, Dec. 24th - No call from anyone. Cust. service dept is closed and I have no one I can contact.



Wednesday, Dec. 26th - I call and demand to speak to a manager. I briefly explained my experience and the lady said there was no delivery scheduled for Monday and no notes regarding it either (SHOCKER!). I wait 3 hours and get a call from a manager who says he can expedite the shipment for the next day (12/27). Couch arrives on time 12/27 with no problems.



.... - let's see how bad they can screw up the delivery of the sofa sleeper piece in mid-January.

Poor customer service !

My daughter made a large purchase and the delivery was one day late. She waited
a long time all evening and the driver didn't
show up until the next day. When they finally came, they had the wrong glass top
for the table that she had purchased. The
driver refused to take the table back . When
my daughter called the store, she was told
they don't take back furniture after it has been delivered. They couldn't give her an exact date when a new glass top would be in . They didn't even offer to exchange it .
THIS IS VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !

Wonderfull Staff

The staff at this store was great. The sales person (Ms. Charlotte) was just outstanding. She went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out. My 21 year old son was trying to finance a living room set and had been all over and no one would even the kid a try. Rooms To Go went the extra mile to get him approved. He was at first turned down and the Store Manager stepped in and called the finance co to get him approved. I do not even know the Managers name but I just wanted to say thank you for doing everything you did to help a young man start off somewhere. It is a gesture that I will never forget.

Horrible

Horrible Customer Service and quality of furniture. Sofa squeaks so badly after less than one year, cushions are flat and stains will not come out after special spraying from factory.
