Kirk George Bowden, DO

So far, I've only seen Dr. Bowden three times. On my first visit, he prescribed a worthless pain medication for me. I can't really blame him, as he was ordering the last medication that my family doctor had prescribed. He was not aware that I had told my family doctor that that particular medication was completely useless. On my second visit, we discussed the bad medication and without hesitation, he changed it to something much more effective. Also, I have had spinal injections in the past. Every time I have had them, it has been extremely painful. The doctors who had done them acted very rushed, as if they were trying to break a record for how many injections they could whip out in one day. Dr. Bowden took his time and inserted the needles very gently, and injected the medication slowly. This procedure is never pleasant, but Dr. Bowden and the assistants working with him truly cared about the patient's comfort and well being. The procedure was done on an out-patient basis at Mountain Vista Medical Center. The registered nurses, other medical professionals and the volunteers provided exceptional care. They brought me coffee just the way I like it, they offered me pillows and blankets, too, as it was a bit chilly in the room. Throughout the process, not only was Dr. Bowden present, but also at least 4 nurses and a couple of volunteers, who checked in every now and again. To sum it up, the staff of Pain Management Associates at Hedley Orthopedic Institute and the staff and volunteers at Mountain Vista Medical Center provide a level of service that is professional and caring, while at the same time making the client comfortable by making a joke or simply letting them know that they care and understand.
