Rich Mixon - BellSouth Corporation "I met Mr. Michael Whitlock (Collisionworx) by accident while traveling through Memphis, TN from the Mississippi Gulf coast destine for East Tennessee. I was involved in a MVA, in this metropolitan city of 1,000,000 residents. I was alone and knew nobody within 800 mile radius (400 miles East & 400 miles South). My Toyota Camry suffered severe damage of the complete front end. The impact of the collision was so severe my hood was bent in half, almost pushed into the windshield. In 5:00pm commuter traffic, The Memphis Police notified a "wrecker service" to come to the scene with a flatbed (the car could not even be "towed'. The driver transported me & the remains of my Toyota Camry to 6916 Appling Farms Pky (Whitten Rd, I-40 Exit 15 (zip 38133). When we arrived I saw the nicest, cleanest Auto Body Shop I had ever seen. My initial thought was $$. Was I ever mistaken. On that date, I had the privilege to meet Mr. Whitlock. He was so "calming" and reassuring. He showed much concern for my "well being" as he did for my vehicle. Being 6:00pm, Collisionworx was closing. ...But Mr. Whitlock asked his staff to stay until he knew I had transportation enroute and obtained my work related belongings from my vehicle. He provided me his personal number and graciously invited me to remain on the property until my ride (from East TN) arrived. He even phoned me from his home to "check" on me. The following weeks he contacted me to advise me the "updates & status" on Collisionworx progress on my Camry. When he repaired my car in a timely manner (I did not think was possible), I did not recognize my car. It looked better than it did before the collision. The body work was the most elite ever. The painting process looked of better quality than Toyota applied at the factory. Today, that was 3 years 7 months ago. I have only had oil changes & replaced tires per regular maintenance. Not one "sign" the car had ever been in a collision. *Unlike many other auto body experiences I have heard, Mr. Whitlock was 100% available & concerned "how is your car doing". He was aware I was "passing through" Memphis but continued to treat me as if I was local. I continue to correspond with Collisionworx 3+ years later. Recently I needed minor body work done. I went to 2 local body shops. Their work was far below standard. Family/friends said it was unnecessary to drive 4 hours to Memphis (to Collisionworx) to have this unrelated body work done. My reply was simply, "You have never been to "Collisonworx". That is all I can say to you also. I consider Mr. Whitlock a friend, and his staff my family. The staff, namely "Patricia" & "Pat" were and continue to be so good to me. When I phone regarding my Camry (annual maintenance, etc) I feel they stop what they are doing and listen to me and respond with care. If only our society had more businesses & individuals such as the family at Collisionworx, we would be in "safer trusting hands". I was never made to feel that Collisionworx was simply trying to "make $" from a motorist at another's mercy. You have my word as well as Collisionworx's, there is NO OTHER AUTO BODY shop. -Rich Mixon, East Tennessee"

Simply put......Epiphany Salon & Gallery is awesome! The ambiance is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and bubbly and to watch them work is wonderful. Haircutting, highlights, silk pressing, relaxers, etc. You name it, they do it and the shop is so diverse. Black, white, green or yellow....doesn't matter what color you are, if you have hair, they'll do it! :-) My personal experience with hair stylist Angie was amazing! This was my first visit to the salon and even though she graciously took me at the last minute on Valentine's' Day weekend she got me in and out. She explained everything that she was doing to my hair, she explained areas that needed improvement and she explained to me, her method of doing a silk press before and during the process. I will definitely be a regular moving forward and if you are having second thoughts about going to Epiphany Hair & Gallery or going somewhere else-choose Epiphany! My hair is LAID and yours can be too! BOOK ANGIE!

I've been going to Ashe' for a little over two years now and I LOVE IT! QUEEN is VERY KNOWLEDGABLE OF WHAT SHE DOES!! As soon as I come in the shop, I go straight to the bowl. The longest I've waited was no more than 5 minutes IF THAT! EVEN THOUGH HER SHOP IS IN THE HOOD, her shop is Clean, functional and with a loving environment. Everybody know everybody in there. It's like a second home...FOR REAL! You have all walks of life that enter the doors of Ashe' including DOCTORS, LAWYERS, CELEBRITIES, etc. and yet QUEEN(the owner) treat everyone with an "A" List service. So if you want your hair done THE RIGHT WAY, COME TO ASHE'!
Polished Hair and Nails is definitely a 5 star full service salon. My experience is with nail services. I always look forward to my manicures and pedicures and I am very please when Ieave. My Nail Tech is very prompt with starting services at the appointment time and finishing services within the allotted time frame. This is very important to me because of my hectic schedule. The deluxe manicure and pedicure are the best because after standing on my feet and using my hands in a repetitive motions all day at work, these services leave me, my hands and my feet relaxed and rejuvenated. Once again, definitely 5 stars all the way!
I went to Ashe' and had an initial consultation with the Owner Queen of Ashe' and she was very cordial and knowledgeable about natural hair; which automatically made me feel comfortable. When I went back for services, I was treated to a Peppermint Shampoo and a Mango/Kiwi Scalp deep scalp conditioning for anti-breakage. This was followed by a hot oil treatment which I really really needed. I did not get my starter locs that day, but I did get a 2 strand twist, and returned later in the week for her to pull it out for my funky fro! I definitely will return to Ashe'
I like the fact that no appointment is needed. Reasonably priced services and the payment is due up front. What I didn't like was that the owner could never keep a strong staff, or any staff for that matter. Also, it seemed as tho they didn't love my hair as much as I did. No advice would be given to my hair care regimen even tho I had been coming regularly for a while. If you are looking for something simple as a wrap or a roller set, you might be OK. However, if you are wanting professional services such as chemicals or cuts. I suggest you go elsewhere.
The atmosphere is family friendly, and the staff cares about their customers. The food is cooked as each order hits the window, and the short wait is well worth the visit. The food is wonderful, catfish is american pond raised catfish. Hushpuppies are homemade and tasty. Servers are efficient and they care about their customers' satisfaction and comfort. If I want fast food I will visit Sonic. If I want good food I will return to Catfish Cabin. It is a great restaurant for a business lunch or a casual dinner experience!
Unfortunately I was not totally pleased even though the stylist and I had a fairly lengthy conversation before and I brought a picture. The cut was actually fine after I tweekedvit at home but the styling was terrible and nothing like what we discussed. I left with straight stick flat ( after she flat ironed it). I wanted a short fluffy bob. Thought we were OK but when I asked at the end if she was going to fluff it up to make it full ( like my picture) she looked at her watch. I hate it because I liked her.
Does not listen to what you want. He told me I didn't know what I wanted. I was happy with my cut, but was trying to correct color. Ted chopped my already thin hair to pieces. I told him how I wanted my hair cut, and he refused to cut it how I wanted. He also changed my hair color from blonde to a grayish color. I am in my 30's, and I looked like an old lady. Only go here if you want someone else to take total control of your hair.
