Founded in 1976, Arrowhead West is a nonprofit organization that serves children up to 3 years and adults with developmental disabilities. It also serves young children who have substantial developmental delays. The organization offers preschool and adult vocational programs, residential care, supported living and employment and home-based child services. Its independent living provides support, advocacy, information and referral services to individuals with disabilities who are living on their own. The organization s employment program provides training and ongoing support that leads to permanent employment for persons with developmental disabilities. It serves the residents of Edwards, Clark, Kiowa, Comanche, Ford, Gray and Hodgeman counties in Kansas. The organization is approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
