Just Children Child Care Center

We are thrilled to be part of the Just Children family since 2009. It isn't easy leaving your children in the hands of anyone other than yourself so looking for a childcare facility can be daunting. Look no further than Just Children. When I had to go back to work, after my boys were born, I must have toured at least 5 daycares and I kept coming back to Just Children. What first grabbed my attention was that not only was it clean and inviting, but it was a school, being a teacher of 13 years I loved that. You can tell a lot about a school by what you see just by peeking in the window of the classroom. Every teacher was on their feet or sitting with the children engaged in songs, reading or instruction. The rooms were filled with laughter and you could see in the faces and eyes of the teachers that they genuinely love children, they love what they do. The staff are enthusiastic, compassionate, and supportive. There is nothing better than entering the school in the morning to see Miss D dressed up in the theme of the day (think Mrs. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus) This is the what gets kids excited about school & the day ahead of them. My oldest is now in kindergarten and thriving, his teachers gave him the skills and confidence he needed to love school. Miss Judy, Miss Brenda, and Miss D were always available to discuss any concerns on my part and were incredibly helpful in suggesting activities I could do to help my son improve in areas that he should be mastering as a pre schooler. Miss Ashley & Miss Michelle were amazing in helping my middle child come out of his shell. At 2 years of age to early 3 there is a lot going on developmentally. These women were partners with my husband and I in the potty training woes, giving up the pacifier, and helping him to come out of his brother's shadow and speak for himself. Now with Miss Kelly & Miss Tracey, he is engrossed the minute he walks in the classroom. At 3 years he knows how to spell his name, count, and zip his coat. I love the smile on his face when he realizes his achievements. What warms my heart the most is how much these teachers love our children. They give them hugs, tell them they are happy to see them, and that they missed them when they are not in school. These women, these teachers make our children feel safe and comfortable . The lines of communication at Just Children are always open, through daily reports , emailed pictures and conferences we never felt in the dark on what are children were doing. We are now preparing to send our infant to Just Children, and while it is hard I know that Miss Terri, like all of the teachers at Just Children, will love and care for my child as if he were her own. That is what you want overall, people to take care of your children the way they would want their children taken care of.

On July 26, 2009, I became a mother of an 8 month old angel, William. William was my first foster care placement. At the time William came to live with me, I was teaching Summer School. So he started Just Children in Medford less than 24 hours after he came "home". Even though my heart broke to leave him – I felt comfort right away. He was welcomed with open arms, and his name was already on his cubby ready for him to join the class.



The staff of Just Children-Medford have since become a second family to us. Throughout the years they have been with us for every life changing event – good and not so good. They love and protect my children as if they were their own. Not only were my children cared for, but my 3 year old son would come home to tell me things like, "Hey momma, the heart pumps the blood" and "Circle's don't have any corners." Whew! Knowledge I don't remember having at 3 years old!



Recently my family moved away from the Medford area, and after a hard decision, we have changed daycares for convenience reasons. However, the "bar" is set to our Just Children's - Medford experience, and no other center will ever compare in my families eyes.
