Fayyin Restaurant

Basically we ordered a party tray of Mongolian Beef and Chow Mein for my son's birthday party, but the Mongolian Beef was a full tray of 90% of onions. I even took pictures of it from top, side, in the middle. All you can see is just onions. Even my guest was asking if it was onion soup, they didn't even touch it. My husband called the restaurant and asked politely if we can get a refund. I can hear a lady just yelling at my husband. We went over to the restaurant with the tray so we can get our refund. We didn't go there to yell or fight, just get a refund and we can be on our way. All she did was yell. We kept telling her to calm down. There was even customers there and me and my husband kept apologizing to them. She called out the old man and he was like "just give them their money" to the lady. She said, "fine I'll give them half... I don't want their dirty money! I don't want them back here!" I said, "half??? dirty??? $70 of onion, my husband works in the oil fields and I work at the postal service." The old man just walked back to the kitchen because she was yelling at him. We felt sorry for him... She didn't want to give us cash, she wanted to put the money back in our debit card. My husband said that's fine, but he wanted to the money back in our bank the same day. She called her bank to do a refund and that she has to do it on Monday. We said we can't come back tomorrow because we'll be busy with work and kids. Then she flipped out and said she won't give our money back then. She even threaten us that she'll call the police. We told her to go ahead because we weren't doing anything wrong. When she made that call, she said that we were yelling at her. My husband and I looked at each other and the people who was there looking at that lady. My husband and I thought this was embarrassing, so we went outside so the lady can stop yelling in front her customers. All her customers was leaving too. When the police officer came and said that the owner called saying that these couples were yelling at her. We explained to the officer what happened. After that, he went inside to talk to the lady. When they both came outside, we had to resolve the problem. The lady kept yelling and the officer kept telling her that she needs to lower her voice. She said that she put 60% of onions and 40% beef and when we brought the tray back, she said that all our customers (guest) ate all the beef. I asked the officer if he saw the tray and he did. He saw mostly a tray of onions. He didn't see much of beef in there. We can tell the officer wanted to laugh. The lady said if we don't like her food, why order? she doesn't want to refund cash because she doesn't trust us? We told her because we liked their food, been coming her for years. This was the first time ordering Mongolian Beef from them. We kept the tray of Chow Mein because we liked it and ate it. The officer told her that she should've just take the tray back, give the refund if her customers aren't satisfied so her customers can come back. She needed to stop threatening and yelling at her customers. Customers are suppose to be first. That's how a good business suppose to be. He turned to us that if the money isn't back in our bank by tomorrow afternoon, we can call or go back to the restaurant. The lady told us that she doesn't want us back. Which was fine. Doesn't matter... All this, just for a refund.
