You should do your homework before you go in this place on anything you want to buy. The salesman will tell you exactly what you want to hear, he is a typical salesman out to get the sales. Prices are not competitive but was average for the area. DO NOT depend on their service department to call you about anything. Once I paid 1/2 the amount of the woodstove, I had to make repeated calls to get a pre-install inspection that was supposed to happen the next day. Then I never received a call for the actual install, again I had to make repeated calls. They were supposed to complete the install by adding an extra flu extension on to the flu. Again, I had to make the call to see when it was going to be installed. The technician that came to perform the install was excellent. He knew what he was doing. Cleaned up after themselves and was very informative. One month later I had a warranty repair on the stove, was told they would take the item from a stove there in the store and would be out the next day to repair. Never heard from them. Had to call them about the item, today the technician showed up to replace the item. Nobody was home, they never called me to let me know the item was even in.

customer service is awful. saw them at home show, set up appointment to look at my chimneys. they said they would call to set appointment. they never did so i call them. again they said they would get back to me and never did.

2 years later against my better judgement i bought a wood stove from them. salesman acted like he was doing me a favor dealing with me. acted like he didnt have time to deal with me. stove was supposed to be 3 weeks getting there. never heard from them. called to check in and they said stove was pushed out 2 more weeks. all the while calling and being told they would call me back, which never happened. they did make an effort to get the stove faster and after telling the manager all this they got a little better. now i have an issue with the stove and when i called the lady said someone would call me that day. to my surprise the call never came.

I cannot emphasize enough that you avoid this company. I am not competition nor do I have a grudge. They have visited my home some 15X without resolution. They simply do not have the training. I have been waiting 7 months to get a stove installed, that's right 7 months. I gave them one star because that's the lowest possible rating.

THIS COMPANY RIPPS YOU OFF- THEY OVERCHARGE AND DONT COMPLETE THE WORK THEY ESTIMATED TO DO- FOR TEN MINUTES OF WORK THEY CHARGED ME 600 DOLLARS AND DIDNT EVEN SWEEP THE CHIMMNEY ALSO DIDNT COMPLETE INSTALLATION OF FIREPLACE I PAID FOR STILL WAITING ON THE SCREEN. THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE AND UNPLEASANT - NEVER USE THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO TO FLHORS

10/25/2010 - ~3 weeks prior, made the appointment for my fireplace to be sealed and insulated on this day.

10/21/2010 - Called to verify the time the crew would arrive. The lady I spoke to was unable to find my appointment on the calendar. Apparently it was never made or it had been wiped out. The salesman I was working with said there was no way I could be put on the schedule for my original date and he would have to call me the next morning. I called myself near closing time since he never called. The appointment was rescheduled for 11/08/2010. Although he apologized, he was unwilling or unable to provide any kind of discount.

11/08/2010 - Crew arrived, told me "this is a bigger job than we expected," were unprepared for it, and left after 30 mins.



To this day (11/22/2010) I have not received a single phone call from Sunfire. My advice is to keep looking. I am currently working with a contractor.
