YOUTH KARATE The study of karate for youth teaches physical and mental control necessary for our youth to overcome the challenges of today. Pacific Martial Arts Academy teaches in a fun atmosphere which promotes self confidence, self esteem, discipline, and focus while teaching balance and coordination. Our youth student’s curriculum consists of basic techniques, self defense, kata, and controlled sparring. A central component of the program includes activities intended to teach children how to cope with and avoid dangerous situations such as potential abductors and bullies. Ages 6-15. ADULT KARATE Pacific Martial Arts Academy focuses on traditional Okinawan martial arts with emphasis on life-protection techniques, regardless of an individual's size. You will gain confidence and self-esteem by improving your physical fitness, body composition, skill level and self-defense skills. Our student's curriculum is an ongoing understanding of self defense through basic techniques, pressure point strikes, kata, and controlled sparring. Enjoy the workout as well as the friendships that come along with exercising and training with people that have similar goals. Ages 16 and up.
