Union Elementary School offers educational classes to students in grades kindergarten through six. The school s curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, language arts, music, computer, health and physical education. It offers various extracurricular activities, such as accelerated reader program, individualized reading, math program, academically gifted classes, vegetable and flower gardening and ornamental grass testing program and provides a computer-based accelerated reader program. Union Elementary School includes a media center that provides a wide range of curriculum-related study material. Its resources include print, nonprint and electronic material, including more than 12,000 books, over 20 computers with Internet access, videos and subscriptions to professional journals and magazines.
