Accettolas Estate Sales

It is hard to know if Accettolas Estate Company is best described as thieves, liars or lazy. We contracted with them in June when moving my mother out of her house of 40 years after she finished chemotherapy and before she started radiation. It was a big job and we were understandably stressed about all the moving parts. There were many things that went wrong with their service, but it was new territory for us so we tried to roll with the multiple changes in plan for selling her unwanted items. After repeated requests for an inventory list of what they took out of the house for sale, all we received was a list of the 10 large, obvious, high value antiques. For removing them from the house and delivering them to the antique auction, they charged both a delivery fee and 40% of the sale price at auction. The auction house, reasonably, charged 15% for their services. All the rest of the goods, they either didn’t sort through for value or have lied to us about removing and sold them without providing us an amount of the sale. They have not responded to requests for information about other goods they may have removed. I can’t recommend doing business with them.
