I don't appreciate the rudeness with which the owner has treated me, a former regular customer. It's obvious that I have a big butt. I don't need to be told so publicly. The rude comment came from the owner when I moved 2 empty chairs at the bar down towards the end because I wanted a little space, he chairs were only 8-10" apart. I moved the nearest one 2' away. The owner stood directly behind me with his arms crossed, glowering at me. As soon as I was seated, he obnoxiously moved the chair right back on top of me. I tried to laugh it off and make a point of how close it was by sitting on both. He said, "you tink-a dat's funny?" I replied as good humored as I could that it WAS a bit too close and put the chair back over about 15" away. He came up and put it right back on top of me again and said, "mebbe its you big-a butt." I wasn't sure I heard him right through his thick accent, and I didn't want to ruin my mom's meal so I sat there quietly. Later I confirmed with mom that I had heard him correctly. I determined right then and there I would never set foot in that filthy place again. I preferred to sit at the bar because the walls of the booths are so full of food. The tables are uncomfortable with a lot of traffic. I also like to chat with the staff when the owner isn't being an insufferable jerk. I only go for mom, I've gotten sick so many times from there. I've seen live insects (cockroaches) at the bar and a plethora of extremely unsanitary food handling practices. My advice? If you have to eat there, go sit at the bar. It's an eye opening experience. If you go around the side you can see in the window to the kitchen. Do it BEFORE you eat though. I've volunteered there. My job was to wipe food off of the dishes and silverware AFTER they came out of the dishwasher. They were covered in used food. They did NOT go back into the dishwasher. I used a paper napkin to wipe off the detritus and put them into direct service.

Gino Is Wonderful! Rachel as table Waitress also wonderful. However Giuseppe (owner) is a old world mean spirited Italian.I was at the restaurant the weekend before Valentine's day, and everyone was waiting, waiting, waiting. We had two bottles of wine and appetizers before and I asked the waiter to find out when our dinners would be served after 1:45 minutes. Giuseppe came out with the dinners in about 15 minutes later, and yelled at me in front of my family and friends. He complained that I was impatient. I am writing this review now because I have just calmed done, but he is an angry man, and one I no longer befriend. I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. I have never been treated so discourteously. I spent over $300 dollars for this dinner and it will be the last I spend at this restaurant.
Great food and even better owners!!! This restaurant is the true meaning of family owned and operated!!!!
