They never Answer the Phone. (I also had the experience like Vikki Shah-they would not answer phone after numerous calls during day and never called back. I went to the office(2 minutes later) after the last futile phone call, and no line's at all when I arrived. They just sat behind a glass window?!?) When they do pick up phone, and realize you are looking for assistance, their tone changes and they are very Rude. You can feel the tension they have through their voice. They show no consideration for those that are less fortunate than them, it's as if they really don't care about you....and they certainly hate their job. That part is obvious through talking on the phone and in person by facial expressions. I paid my tax's for 23 years, and when I lost my job/apartment/no Money(Practically homeless) and was in need of assistance I went to this place and was treated like a " Nobody! " Called the main headquarter's in Boston but they did nothing on a follow up regarding my experience's with this place!!!! A Disgrace to the system! That place in Lowell should be monitored on a regular basis by an anonymous person by phone and inside their office not just once to say they checked, but on a regular basis! What an embarrassment to the system. Shame on The State Of Massachusetts! I was so upset at the way things were handled here, not to mention the constant delays on your application (which was their fault, not the states) Since when does it take 3 weeks for an approval after doing all the necessary paperwork when your case worker sais you will have an answer that same week?. Could they survive on " NO " food for 3 weeks? Don't think so, so why should I ? ( Please keep in mind, I am grateful for assistance, but this process at this Office in Lowell, MA off of Davidson street is ridiculous!!!!!!! (My friend let me use his computer to place this review, hope it helps other's to know what to expect from this place.....)
