I would not recommend this complex under the current management. I have lived there for 3 years and for the most part have enjoyed my stay, until this past year. This past year I had moved into a one bedroom and it has been a constant nightmare. My apartment has flooded three times within the last six months and the current manager Meagan Whalen, acts as if this is a completely normal occurrence. My apartment flooded in January, February, and again this week in June. The flooding effects my bedroom the most, causing me to be forced out of my bedroom for 4-6 days each time while industrial fans run 24 hours a day (which I pay for with elevated LG&E bills) for multiple days. The carpet in my bedroom has never been cleaned or replaced. It gets sprayed with some harsh chemical to combat the mildew smell. Every morning I walk across hard crunchy carpet and I don't even feel comfortable walking in my own bedroom barefoot. I pay almost $800 a month for this apartment. I have asked for my rent to be prorated for the days my apartment was unusable and was refused the first time because "sometimes things do occur" while living in an apartment home. The second time I was refused because apparently "the whole city flooded". I wrote a lengthy email to the corporate office complete with pictures, requesting a credit on my rent, that my carpet be replaced, and I was ignored. When I attempted to renew my lease in a different apartment, I was told its an extra $100 a month for the same layout. When I asked about having to pay an extra $100 a month despite all the issues I've had, she repeated the same "well the whole city flooded" rhetoric and that the flooding problem with my apartment "should be fixed". My apartment flooded for the 3rd time after a week after this conversation. Despite this nightmare of an apartment, I actually like living in this complex and find it rather disheartening that I'm being forced out because the lack of professionalism from this particular manager.

Let me begin by sharing that less than 24 hours after posting my Google review of this complex I received a notice on my door stating that the "manager" has decided not to renew my lease ! I gave them 1 star. For many legitimate reasons I will again tell anyone looking for an apartment, Do not sign a lease with this company!!!! The windows have been replaced due to at least 10 years of leaking water but all of the black mold was not properly removed. Although many residents have legally broken their leases while others have filed and won lawsuits because of this mold, they refuse to disclose that there is or was ever a mold issue. In my building we could plainly see the entire exterior wall was completely eaten away by the stuff as the contractors replaced the windows, and scraped away some moldy material and rotten wood that lay on the ground along with broken glass , nails and insulation, for more than a month last summer. A fresh coat of paint was thrown down and they called it done. The nails and glass still cover the grounds. 1 light in my building as of today, and thats only because I bought it and put it in myself. That's a basic legal requirement for all rental properties. A well lit common area / walkway. The huge holes that were mentioned in the other post, yes .... my husband broke his ankle while walking our dog when he stepped into one of them . Let me tell everyone that this place is an absolute over priced dump that is now being run into the ground by a manager and company who owns several other dumps around town. So do not come here unless their other properties are to your standards, because post oak is quickly becoming as run down as those places are. The office staff is incredibly rude and uneducated and do not belong in this area of town, and it shows. The manager even "lost" one of my rent checks, and carelessly gave my key to an ex without checking his Identification or the fact that he was not a party to my lease. This was 3 months ago, and I had to contact the ceo of the company of the company to finally get my lock changed, Which was done yesterday . So sad to see this once nice clean property which was managed by true professionals with the previous company , replaced with these clowns. Beware of doing business with this place and I truly recommend avoiding it all together. Good luck and god bless.

No Stars

I have lived there since last July and have had nothing, but issues. Yes I agree our maintenance guy works very hard and try's to get stuff done. But he is also limited b/c the girls in the office refuse to do their job. You are better off calling The Grove to get a work order wrote up and done. The pool was not open all summer last year and they have no idea when it will be open this year. Then we have ditches in our parking lots, oh I'm sorry I guess they are technically potholes that have eroded for so long now they are ditches. This place is the biggest joke and I wish I would have never moved in. I'm just counting down the days till my lease is up so I can RUN out of this place. My recommendation look elsewhere, this place is a waste of money and will only cause you grief!!!

yes

i have lived here for a few months and I love it. Its nice and quiet the maintance is AMAZING here. No matter what MELISSA says she is just a cryer bc she wants out of her lease! She has a HUGE dog that craps everywhere so she should not be the one writing bad reviews. The only bad thing about it here is the MANAGEMENT/OFFICE workers. They are lazy and will not help you out. They say things will get fixed but it wont its not the maintance mans fault is bc management wont buy the parts for things he needs to fix it.

Just say no!!!

i have lived here for less than a year, and i would not recomend anyone live here. They will not fix anything or on the chance you get them to it is half assed. The women in the office when I asked about getting out of my lease and stated my reasons, told me I am better off in an appartment. the only way i can get out of this lease is to break it. They did nothing when the snow came it make it safe for us to get in and out and up and down steps. the parking lot is terriable, my car has been hit 3 times in the parking lot, and i often have to park 50 yards or more away due to there not being enough spaces.
