On December 29, 2010 Agape Relocation moved my family from Altamonte Springs, FL to West Orlando. Due to a fire months earlier we had all brand new furniture that was less than 3 months old at the time.



Ray, the owner, unable to be present due to another job, had his young son, Ray JR, and 2 friends move us in a U-Hall truck. When it arrived at the new address we realized they had not wrapped the furniture in blankets and our brand new canopy bed was broken. The top beam has a chunk snapped out where it attaches to the post. There are dings and scratches over the posts and beams and my dresser has a 12-inch scratch across the top. It was also not put together properly.



I called Ray, the owner several times and he finally came out 8 weeks later to look at the damage. He insisted he didn’t want me to make a claim on his insurance and would fix the damage. He also attempted to tighten the bed frame but said he would need to bring a special tool when he came back to fix the damage.



I gave him the number to Havertys where the bed came from and he insisted he would call and order the new beam, would install it and have someone come out to steam out the dings at the same time within three weeks.



When I called him three weeks later for a date and time to come he told me that business was slow and he didn’t have the money for the beam or to fix the scratches/dings. It would take a bit more time.



That was 4 months ago. I have called him repeatedly and now that I am no longer able to claim the damage on his insurance he is ignoring me all together. There is approximately $6oo worth of damage.



He claims to have a Christian company and played that card with me telling me he would make good on his promise and that being a good Christian myself please don’t file with his insurance. When biding the job he stated he holds higher standards than most. I have not had that experience with him.



For the last month I have left repeated messages on his cell and work numbers pleading with him to make good on his claim that he was going to fix the damage caused by the move.



I fed his children while they were here finishing the move and I paid in full when they were finished with him saying he would fix the problems. He was also to move my Mother in a month later and we canceled going with a larger, more reputable company was snowed. Please don’t use this moving service.
