Overall

Product doesn't work, and customer service is non-existent! They make a lot of promises, but when it comes to money, they're willing to say anything to make you hand over yours. Don't expect a refund, despite the fact that the system is constantly down, you can't reach anyone for help, and the product is full of mathematical defects! Best advice.... Stay away from!

Stay away from, total scam! Learned at a cost of $4K!

We have given Dealership Software every opportunity to make right with us, and have found them to be dishonest and unethical in their promises of both product and service. Before joining, we had some good conversations with Bill, and he assured us of their great customer support and product. I also voiced concerns about the contract they require in order to sign on. He assured me that I had nothing to worry about. They take care of their customers and although he believed we would be happy with them, if we weren't we would not be held to it.Immediately upon signing with them, we had problems with getting set up. They were very slow in both transferring our info and even with getting our main suppliers in the system, which we had been told they also use for other companies. They had also promised individual customization for our needs, which was a great selling point, but also very slow in coming. We ended up extending our transfer a couple months because they did not have enough set up for us to use it. They told us, we would just have to jump on and work through as we went. When we finally did jump on and leave our old system, it was still missing a lot of crucial info and the very first day we could not even get into the system because of connection/set up problems on their end, and we could not even get anyone on the phone for a couple hours. For the next two weeks, we continued to try to make things work despite the lack of assistance. The final straw was on July 15, when the system was down yet again and could not reach anyone. Here is a copy of my letter to them:The reason we wanted to be with your company was to improve our business based on solid easy to obtain numbers. Also, we were interested in Bill’s promise of better customer support than we were receiving. What we have found instead is almost no customer support. We have been down a couple times now, and cannot even reach anyone. Yesterday it was a few hours with no response from anyone, and then a couple more hours before having the system up and going; during which we had customers upset with us because they wanted to pick up their vehicles, check on status, and others who we lost as parts customers because we had to hand write everything because some could not or did not want to wait. It was a very expensive day for us. On top of that, as we began going through work orders and invoices that have been billed since going to your system, we have found many mathematical errors. We overcharged a customer by $153, because it was billed out as actual time but did not show up on the invoice. The subtotal was higher than the individual items added together for some reason, and other work orders we didn’t charge items for, even though they were on the ticket. The system just didn’t add them to the total at all, which is completely unacceptable for us. Other problems are rounding issues which don’t appear till after payment is received, and just the overall time involved with each transaction. This move was supposed to help us run our business by numbers, and save money. At this point, it has cost us a fortune, in lost revenue, and unhappy customers.Dealership Software has made no effort to make amends with us. I would strongly advise staying clear of doing any business with them!
