Lincoln Public Schools is one of the largest districts in the state of Nebraska that educates more than 34,000 students in over 60 schools. Its schools offer educational opportunities to students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The district s schools provide sports activities, such as cross-country, football, golf, softball, tennis, volleyball, basketball, swimming and wresting. Lincoln Public Schools student services department offers crisis response, student transfer and admission, health, counseling and social work, and safety and security services. Its schools provide special education programs for students with disabilities up to the age of 21. The district s each school is assigned with a custodial team that is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the facility. Lincoln Public Schools also offers a range of staff development programs.
