Dr. Daren Newfield is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who has dedicated his life to making his patients whole again. Dr. Newfield has completed two sub-specialty fellowships in Sports Medicine and Foot and Ankle Surgery. He obtained his medical degree from Emory University, completed his internship & residency at Georgia Baptist Medical Center, and is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Newfield has over 20 years of extensive experience in Georgia, covering Level 1 Emergency trauma calls, and was the former Chairman of Orthopedics at Northside Hospital. Dr. Newfield has a passion to help people in all types of situations. An example of his dedication is a trip to El Salvador to perform spine and extremity surgery on underprivileged children with deformities. Dr. Newfield also volunteered his time to travel on a medical mission trip to Les Cayes, Haiti after the devastating earthquake that destroyed the surrounding community. During that trip, he was able to save many lives and limbs of individuals affected by this tragedy. The devastation of living conditions after the earthquake left a lasting impression on him. Dr. Newfield will go any length to save a life including performing life-saving surgery on a stray dog he later adopted and named Tripod. ​ In Dr. Newfield’s free time he enjoys spending time with his beloved family. Dr. Newfield is married with three amazing, fun-filled and active girls. Dr. Newfield’s family is his inspiration, motivation, and drive. It’s fair to say his girls are the love of his life. As a family, their passion is to help others and serve Georgia by fixing one patient at a time.
