The staff just simply doesn't care. The doctors are good, even great. But anyone other than a doctor, including the nurse practitioners (i.e. Marion) are not worried as much about your child as you think. I experienced a horrible situation today where the "system" was down and appointments couldn't be booked. That'd be okay (I guess) if I was trying to schedule a wellness visit. But with a sick child, throwing up for 16 hours and not keeping anything down, they should have a better plan. Let me come in and wait for a cancellation, give me a window so I can make plans to take my child somewhere else... nope. We get told to call back. That's it, just call back. Don't bother escalating to Carrie, the Office Mgr. She was so incapable of mustering a response to why their systems were down and they couldn't give at least some idea of when we'd be able to come in, that she simply decided to hang up. As a last resort, I tried calling Loudoun Medical Group (supports the various practices)... Sherry, the receptionist, transferred me to the Ops Mgr, Matt, but he wasn't there. I wasn't looking for a voicemail when I've just been hung up on, so I called back. Sherry informed me that it was 11am on a Monday morning and that ::muttering:: "Jesus f'in Christ, he'll get back to you when he's available." Wow. Couldn't believe it. However, I finally did get through to Matt and while he was apologetic and listened, it's too little, too late. The doctors own the practice, they shouldn't... if you want to speak to one of them about an issue you're having with staff, situation, etc... make an appointment, pay the deductible and get them in a room because they're too busy to deal with your concerns otherwise (thanks, Dr. Madrid, you wasted my time too!). I would avoid... good doctors are available in Loudoun elsewhere. I would only go here if I worked here.
