        Dr. Patel was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Dr. Patel received his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular MRI in the Department of Radiology and served on the faculty at Emory University. Dr. Patel is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiovascular CT. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Patel’s special interests include preventive cardiology and management of advanced cardiac disease. He is trained in cardiovascular MRI and CT, transesophageal and stress echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac catheterization. Dr. Patel cares for patients at our Lawrenceville and Johns Creek offices.

        Dr Patel does an outstanding job listening to my Dad's questions and concerns. He is patient and takes the time to understand what is going on with his 90 year old patient. Dad calls Dr Patel his favorite Doctor because he listens, answers questions and does not talk down to him. Highly recommend.

        I always leave my visits with Dr. Patel feeling informed about my health and planned care.

        Dr. Patel listens to my issues and explains what's going on clearly. He is quick to point out on the diagrams to make sure I know what's going on. Since coming to see him, my health has improved greatly and I feel 100 times better.
        I trust him with my life.. literally!
