Curteous and professional staff. Not to mention that the items I needed were less in price, when compared to some of the other pharmacies in the area!
I was on the phone for over 10 minutes, as a provider, calling in an rx for a patient currently in severe pain! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! WILL NOT USE THIS EVER IN THE FUTURE! When they did answer, the man was VERY RUDE, and condescending.
The staff at Central Pharmacy-Westside are extremely knowledgeable, and I hardly had to wait to get my medications filled. Unlike other pharmacies where I have to wait for 1 to 2 hours, here I waited for maybe 15 minutes or less! Definitely going to continue to use this pharmacy in the future.
I had outpatient surgery today and there was a huge, serious snafu in getting my pain medicine filled and was rejected by Atnea Insurance/Medicare Part D. I called several area pharmacies until I found 'BioMed Pharmacy. It had also been Several hours before I had ANY pain meds. in my possession due to the Atnea and the US Government. However, when I was lucky enough to finally find Bio Med Pharmacy the female pharmacist there, she stepped in on my behalf in a split second and worked very hard to make certain I got my pain meds. even though it was getting close to closing time...and my script even still had to be Compounded! She was knowledgeable about not just the meds. but insurance companies, too; she told me she had never worked with an insurance company that 'couldn't' call a pharmacy to ask all of their questions to, to try to get the medication 'pre-approved' which was part of the Insurance Company's rules!?!?!?!?!?!? It was THEIR rules...and they said the COULDN'T CALL my pharmacist about getting my meds. approved--on fresh surgery! OMG. She was so patient with me...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PHARMACY TO ANYONE, especially to someone that needs their medication compounded. She was Very Compassionate about my circumstances. I just can't say enough about her willingness to make sure I had my pain meds., no thanks to my Medicare Part D Insurance Company, Atnea Insurance. AVOID this Insurance Company like the plague!
Oh my goodness...pharmacy NEVER answers the phone!!! My son has phenomena & needed his meds ASAP. The urgent care tried for an hour to get through to call in his script before the urgent care closed!!! The pharmacy never answered their phone....my husband was in there & listened to their phone ring for over a half hour. He let the staff know what was going on but they didn't care enough to answer the phone still. My husband called the urgent care back & they said they are STILL on hold. Urgent care has closed & we are now gonna have to take my son into the ER to be admitted if he doesn't get these meds per the urgent care!!!! THIS MOM IS ABOUT TO LOSE IT!!!!! My husband has now been at this Walgreens for 2 hours.....with no results
Very good pharmacists. Quick to respond, whether by email. fax or phone. Go the extra distance to help customers get discounts. Much better, and cheaper even for private insured, than Walgreens, Meijers.
These guys are very cool. I am a regular, and I always get wonderful service!
A local urgent care sent a prescription to this pharmacy right before their office closed for the night. When I went to pick up the prescription, I was told it has to go to a third party administrator in Utah and it would take 30-45 minutes. Once the prescription was received, it would be 30-60 minutes longer to have it filled. I called back after 45 minutes and was advised they didn't have the prescription. Now I'm dealing with a child screaming in pain and my only option is to go to the ER where there is currently a 6 hour wait. Horrible customer service. Next time I will use the 24-hour pharmacy in Sparrow Hospital.
I have been going to this pharmacy for years and the service is great. They answer the phone promptly and are friendly and helpful. When a medication isn't in stock they will send a driver to get it and I have it within a day. I highly recommend this pharmacy.
