Tavola Rustica, which means the Rustic Table, is the pure essence of this Italian eatery. A place where many stories are told about our ancestors and even though they may have been poor, they were happy. This concept of Cucina Povera (poor kitchen)—a style of cooking that can be found in every society is all about making great food with simple and whatever available ingredients from the kitchen, forest, farm, ocean, etc. This peasant cooking displays a beautiful narrative full of joy, sadness, and fatigue, but rich in humanity and heritage. They’re made up of people who struggled for survival and these dishes are their legacy, an inheritance and a lesson in respecting food, which should never be wasted. These simple, flavorful, and hearty dishes recreated for this menu will make you feel the love of family and friends.
