        Since 1994 DITW has served people with disabilities in South Texas. It is our goal to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and encourage them to take the first step to try new experiences that previously were considered beyond their reach. By totally integrating able bodied individuals and people with disabilities at all DITW events, both go away with a new respect and understanding of one another. This enables them both to live together recognizing their similarities and strengths. The individual with a disability is the most important person to this organization. Without them there would be no need for The Door In The Wall. We are dedicated to them. They are not to be hurried away so we can do our own thing. They are our thing.         We are a resource center for people with disabilities that encourages adapted sports that provides an environment of friends and activities that opens the door to a whole new perspective and unlimited opportunities., We feature an on line store that has a mix of mobility products, mobility solutions, mobility aids, cameras and computers to an apple peeler that works for the individual with only one hand. All proceeds benefit this nonprofit and 100% is applied to disability events., 24 hour Emergency Service
