Elase Spa & Cosmetic Surgery Center

I went into Elase Med Spa in Lake Mary to have Restylane injections. This is a common procedure for me, with no prior reactions or allergies. I had my nasal folds and lips injected by Jessica.

In the morning, my entire nose and above the lip area were black and blue. I got in touch with the office and was told to take Aspirin while they contacted the nurse. By noon, they had me come into the office, to do a warm compress and give me a few words of encouragement.

Vascular Occlusion is caused when the dermal filler is either injected into an artery or around an artery to the point that the blood flow is reduced or completely stopped.

The treatment should’ve been started first thing that morning, but wasn’t till 10 pm, because they failed to have Hyaluronidase in the office, due to it’s cost. Jessica kept apologizing to me, said that this has never happened before and that the medical director, Dr. Gonzales was not getting back in touch with her, she has been in contact with her previous employer, and Google!

The procedure of dissolving Restylane is extremely painful. In addition to injections, I had to apply nitropaste in order to increase blood circulation, which also causes unbearable burning sensation.

This continued for days. The tissue above my lip began to go through necrosis. I was missing work, I could no longer cover the affected area with makeup and my overall morale was low.

My face took forever to heal, and I am left with a permanent scar. It affected my business, my personal life and my social life.

Do yourself a favor, research the place you are going to. I should’ve known not to trust them. Dr. Gonzales performed liposuction on me two years before, leaving me uneven and very lumpy, I went into his main office a number of times, trying to resolve the issue, but even then he never bothered to see me. I didn’t think a routine injection could go so wrong, but it did.

I have a permanent scar to remind me of their negligence, every day.

Do Go! Unprofessional !! Can't rate service because after I waited a week for an appt. and took time off work, the employee did not show up that say. Owner/Mgr. offered no apology or no alternative.

i had 6 laser hair treatments here that I bought off of Groupon for $299. First of all, they expect tips. And I know for a fact that "medical" spas that are under the management of a M.D. should NOT accept tips for treatments like laser hair removal.

Anyway, the first two treatments I got didn't do anything to me. After the sixth treatment I only had about 30% of hair in the treated area left, and I was generally pleased. However, it's now been almost three months after my last appointment and my hair has grown back to almost 80% I'd say.

I tried calling and asking about this and guess what the receptionist told me!? "You should buy another treatment" Wow! I was just explaining to her how I was very unhappy and experiencing a lot of growth and she recommends I buy another $300 package? Very unprofessional.

DO NOT GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I spent over $400 here (including tips) and am NOT happy!

*keep in mind I do not have any hormonal issue that would cause hair growth

Very curteous & nice. I have not been to their office yet, but I called them twice with questions after I purchased a Groupon. They validated it over the phone for me so it wouldn't expire. I do have to wait until February because they are booked, but for such a great deal, the wait is worth it. They scheduled my first 3 appointments and answered my questions. There is no additional cost, just the price of the Groupon. I can't understand how other people thought they were rude. Thank you!

This is the biggest scam business I have ever come across. After I signed up for a new membership for laser in the month of May, I was charged the regular price of $1,600 with 20% down. After one month a deal came on groupon for the same service in $77. Another service that I was interested in for a regular price of $4,400 was offered for $299 and I am told by the else staff that I am not eligible to sign up for the new deal since I am an existing member. Not even for the add on for a new service. After deliberating with the management for hours, I was told that I cannot cancel my existing contract (which was fine with me) and I cannot get any deals for future too.



This is such a rip off. Elase medical spa makes thousands of dollars from existing/old customers to attract new customers with 92% discount. What a marketing strategy to attract new customers that pisses off old customers !!!

I agree with the previous reviews. This place is very unprofessional. No warm and fuzzys here. I would not waste your time and money here. They definitively need to clean house.
