District 4 Public Health promotes wellness and protects the health and well-being of the citizens of Butts, Carroll, Coweta, Fayette, Heard, Henry, Lamar, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding, Troup and Upson counties in Georgia. The organization unites with individuals, families, organizations and communities to promote and enhance disease and injury prevention services to improve and secure healthy living. It offers programs and services related to family planning, pregnancy, immunizations, sexually transmitted infections, breast and cervical cancer, HIV and tuberculosis. District 4 Public Health features the Children First, Universal Newborn Hearing Screening, High Risk Infant Follow Up, Babies Can t Wait and Children s Medical Services programs. The organization provides case management and limited financial aid to families of children with special medical needs to assist them in obtaining medical care, services and equipment.
