Tomo Japanese Restaurant

I killed a bug on our table and we were talking about how disgusting it was and then they bring out our food and it looks great and we are eatting and then I am about to take another bite of my Sashimi and there is a bug right on top of it! It was so disgusting..so I tell the waitress and she is apologizing and tells me they have sprayed for Fruit Flies twice and the keep coming back. So they are aware they have a bug problem....then she asks me if I want to order something else and of course I do not want to eat anything there....next thing I know she has the nerve to bring me a bill!!! So I ask for the manager and he comes out and is like what do you want a discount?... I was so upset..I refused to pay for anything and will NEVER eat there again!

Well when I first came to Knoxville for school we used to go to Tomo regularly. Well things have went downhill since those good old days. After coming back to Knoxville me and a couple of my girls decide to go out to Tomo. It was a nightmare. The waiter (some tall horse faced creepy guy that smelled of marijuana) was rude and short and didnt really seem to even want to wait on us. It took forever to get our food and this was surprising since we were one of two tables in the entire place. The rest of the staff seemed to not even know we were there and were more caught up in talking about their last nights drinking andventures than bringing or making us food. The straw that broke the camels back was when the creepy horsey waiter came over and starts telling us dirty jokes right there in the restaurant. I made the statement to him that this seemed innappropriate and this is when I was told that we didnt have to worrry about it CAUSE HE WAS THE MANAGER!!!!!! So the next time you want to wait forever on your food, get accosted and get the wonderful thrill of smelling skunk just run right over to Tomo. To make matters worse we decided it must just be this little place in west knoxville and decided to try the new location in Fountain City. OMG, you can imagine our horror and surprise when we get there only to be approached my Mr Horsey Manager cause guess what,,, he's gonna be our waiter today!!!!! NEVER AGAIN! The people that own this place need to get some help that doesnt seem to be dazed and confused and creepy. The food was mediocre but after dealing with our creepy manager/waiter we have opted to go to Nama from now on. At least there you will get great service and a NON-stoned NON-creepy waiter and alot greater selection. Never going to Tomo again.
