Pelvic Pain
Patricia King, Ph.D., PT, OCS, HFAAOMPT is an orthopaedic manual physical therapist with 30+years’ experience in clinical practice, research and teaching. Her practice at KPT is focused on TMJ, neck, pelvic and back pain in adults experiencing acute and chronic pain. Her clinical background includes experiences in interprofessional university faculty practices, clinical residencies, public health, home health, hospital-based clinics, corporate & private practices. Shortly after graduation from PT school, she practiced at Fort Sanders in Knoxville where she began advanced training in orthopaedic manual physical therapy (OMPT) earning in a Certificate of Competence in OMPT (MTC). Shortly afterward she joined the physical therapy faculty at UT Memphis, where she was PT consultant to the College of Dentistry TMJ Clinic and the Department of Ob/Gyn Pelvic Pain clinic. Trish and her colleagues at UT Memphis published the first studies on the effectiveness of physical therapy in the management of chronic pelvic pain in women. Since her time in Memphis the majority of her career was in academia including teaching and administrative positions at the University of St. Augustine, Shenandoah University, Tennessee State University and East Tennessee State University. She is currently a part time faculty member at Lincoln Memorial University’s new physical therapy program in Knoxville and is active as a consultant for developing physical therapy programs. Trish is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association www.apta.org and a Founding Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopeadic Manual Physical Therapists www.aaompt.org.

Tricia Cate Hubbs, MSPT graduated from Arcadia University of Glenside, PA. She has worked in outpatient physical therapy for 30 years and rehab during 12 of those years. She is trained in Epley Manuver, LSVT BIG for Parkinsons disease, the McKenzie method, Sahrman muscle balance, acupressure TENS, pain management and general orthopedics.

Linda Gouge PT, MTC and owner of Knoxville Physical Therapy has been a physical therapist for 40 years and a Certified Manual Therapist for 37 years. During most of her career she has specialized in treatment of the spine and TMJ. She treats a lot of chronic myofascial pain patients and has developed treatment protocols for this condition which includes soft tissue mobilization, joint manipulation, postural instruction and therapeutic exercise.
