Overall

It is unfortunate that my first time dealing with this clinic was when my family had to put our dog down but they were absolutely amazing in how they handled it. They fit us in right away on a holiday weekend, on a Sat. when they're only open for a few hours anyway. Everyone there was very kind and understanding, they gave us plenty of time with her to say goodbye. Dr. Lindquist was the vet we dealt with and explained what she doing and reassured us that it was indeed the right time. After she passed they gave us as much time as we needed to finish saying our goodbyes and we felt no rush to vacate the room. A couple weeks later they even sent us a sympathy card signed by everyone at the clinic.

On a more positive note I took some kittens I was fostering there a few times. In this instance I mainly dealt with Dr. Webb who is very friendly and informative. She seemed very current on new and changing veterinary medicine, which is refreshing in this town. She also seems very willing to discuss and explain things as opposed to saying "it's this, give that" like some vets. The only reason I didn't do 5 stars is their prices. On more basic things they aren't that different from the other vets in the area but on some things they charge a lot more, like their teeth cleanings for example. They do a lot to go with that big price tag but not all of it is necessary, and they don't seem willing to not do any of it. Anyway to sum it up great educated vets, friendly staff, kind of pricey maybe affordable for routine care but possibly look elsewhere for bigger procedures.

Overall
Thoroughly impressed

I don't think I could possibly do justice to the amount of professionalism and competency exhibited by the staff at Lindquist Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Wells and a technician came in on a Sunday morning to see my sick puppy and both were friendly and didn't act annoyed at the inconvenience. Dr. Wells took the time to carefully explain not only what tests she was running and why, but was also knowledgable on current areas of research and answered all of my questions with supporting evidence from different studies. She was completely transparent on the costs of the tests up front, and she went over her diagnosis and treatment plan in great detail with me to check for understanding. She was adept at handling my squirmy pup, and I appreciated her filling me in on what she was doing during the physical exam. It was clear from the beginning of the appointment to the end that she was interested in building a mutual partnership to benefit my dog's well-being...not simply a band-aid treatment for the current problem.

Overall
I took my cat in for one all-a...

I took my cat in for one all-around exam and followed up with a full, anesthetized dental cleaning. My experience at Lindquist Vet was mediocre. I will not go there again. I feel the vets and technicians are competent – they discovered my cat’s ear mites and did a good job with the teeth cleaning – however the office wasn’t run smoothly at all. The vets, techs, and front desk people don’t seem to communicate effectively. For example, the vet said she would get me a tag to confirm my cat’s rabies vaccination and a bag to collect a fecal sample, but neither the vet nor the tech remembered these things, and it was quite an ordeal for the front desk person to get these items for me when I asked. Also, I feel this vet tried to get me to spend a lot of money unnecessarily on my animal. The estimate they presented me for my cat’s dental cleaning contained $55 for blood tests before anesthesia. Since my cat has been through two dental cleanings before, I was certain he would face the anesthesia fine, so I asked them to strike those tests, against their recommendation. I have never been to a vet who tried to do blood tests on a cat before a routine dental procedure. Additionally, my cat had no problems that would require a fecal test, which the vet recommended, and she also recommended I pay to test my cat for two fatal diseases (she said these diseases are completely untreatable – they would treat my cat no differently whether he tested positive or negative). Another problem - what I signed for in the dental estimate and what I paid (and what was listed on the final statement) were different. I ended up paying about 30 dollars extra for something called “Convenia”, which is charged for by the weight of the animal. This expense was not listed in the estimate. And, they included a bag of $10 pain-killers to give to my cat in case he was in pain after the procedure – why not have me call if he’s in pain the next day? My cat has never required pain killers after having teeth pulled and he did not need any this time either - wasted money. Finally, I feel this organization just plain out lacks compassion. The vet did not visit with me after the dental procedure to explain to me how things went and which teeth were pulled. The tech said nothing when she handed me the pet crate that contained my cat. No instructions were given for post-anesthesia care. There was no call from them the next day asking how my cat was doing. The receptionist was curt when I called with questions. They have a lot of things to work on.
