Established in 1907, Dairyland Seed Company is a family-owned business that administers plant breeding programs in hybrid corn, soybeans and alfalfa. The company utilizes its msSUNSTRA technology for hybrid alfalfa. Its brands include the Stacked YieldGard and Herculex. Dairyland Seed Company sells alfalfa under its HybriForce-400 brand. Several universities, including the University of Illinois, Iowa State University, Michigan State University, Purdue University and Ohio State University have conducted state trials with the company s products. It also administers various open houses, farm shows and research tours. In addition, Dairyland Seed Company offers a variety of promotional items, such as caps, travel mugs, jackets, pencils, key chains, blankets, knives, playing cards and T-shirts.
