Scout Moving & Storage

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I moved a 1b from Or to Md. The problem came when the driver, Dwight, called the day before delivery to inform me that a semi would not fit in my apartment building loading dock. That would be an additional $300 to rent a smaller shuttle. I have photos of his semi clearing the sides and ceiling of dock but he said it couldn't be done. All this just to charge me an extra $300 that must be paid in cash! Dwight then told me my door was too far from the elevator (greater than 100 ft) so that was an additional $200. It's actually 69.7 feet. At the conclusion of the delivery he told me I have to fill out a survey. I told him I would forward to company later, he raised his voice and said no fill out now in front of me. I was frightened and alone with this man in my apartment. I rated him poor and showed him out. Extremely intimidating, extortion mafia tactics and obviously taking advantage to 'legally' mug a single woman that he felt he could strong arm.

Do not use this company. You can only reach them if they are expecting payment. They do not return calls and their movers stole all my boxes marked DVDs, CDs, and Record Albums.

No investigation. Just a settlement offer of $48. That's 60 cents per pound for many years collection, along with irreplaceable videos of my daughter as a baby and my grandfather playing music.



Again, this is not a professional business and I questioned many times whether anyone actually works there, in an office or do they just forward calls to random part time employees.



I only wanted to give zero stars, but I figured they didn't steal TVs.

Standard move with no issues. Storage unit has not been opened for 5 years and I was not really sure of what all I had stored for my mother after she passed away. I was not present for the pick up but the storage facility manager said they were professional and fast. Customer service was attentive. Would use again.

DREADFUL. NO REDEEMING QUALITIES.

A good crew, went smoothly. All furniture was wrapped with care. Friendly, polite, crew. Showed up 2 days earlier than planned, stayed within original scheduled time.

Melissa stayed in touch with me when needed. No surprises.

Fantastic job! Very helpful and organized. All items in reasonable condition unless otherwise noted. Pleasant and personable from start to finish. Brian was especially professional and efficient. The crew on pick up were also very professional.

I chose Scout Moving for my recent move because they promised great customer support and I really got it. They had a lot of communication leading up to my move to make sure I was prepared which was great because I had never moved this far before and I had no clue what I was doing. The crew at both of my locations were incredibly nice and polite guys and never complained despite all the hard work. Everyone was such a pleasure to deal with. I'm happy Scout was my choice.

These guys are absolutely phenomenal~! They hustled all of my stuff faster than any other mover I have ever seen. Moreover, they are reasonably priced. We had tons of stuff – around 70 boxes plus several furniture and appliances. They were all cleared out of our place in less than two hours and placed inside our new place in about the same amount of time. I cannot thank them enough for their work. They were amazing and made our moving experience more pleasant than expected.
