Regarding Joshua84's comments. I know people are supposed to be politically correct these days but your comments are totally inaccurate. No one can give you an exact quote on rebuilding your transmission until it is pulled out, inspected and determined which parts need to be replaced. Because a transmission typically has 330-500 parts no one can know what parts to replace until they open your unit and inspect it. Your analogy of a battery is incorrect since it is only one part being replaced and it is an "external" part not requiring inspection. Some repair shops may tell you a price (guessing a price since it can vary up to 1500.00 dollars for a simple base overhaul/rebuild compared to a unit that has catastrophic failure) but it won't be the price and in fact, some repair shops will actually give you a used, salvage yard unit for that quote and not tell you. The only way you can get an honest quote up front without anyone looking at your transmission(give or take 5-10%) is to get a used unit from a salvage yard or a remanufactured unit. These are already completed units that a shop knows the price up front so they just have to add fluid and labor to install to get a quote.

They just did an outstanding job servicing my mother’s car too. She is 83 years old and AAMCO noticed that she needed a full set of new tires and offered to take her car to the tire place of our choice. They not only took the car to the tire store, but also went out of their way to pick it up! I am so thankful for their trusted service!
