The car I left with them for repair was stolen from their lot. This happened at the Raymore location in April, 2018.
They left it unlocked with the key in it over the weekend. I know this because when the police found the vehicle a month later, the key was with it and there were no signs of forced entry. Mistakes happen, but the worst part is that they lied, trying to pass off a key I had never seen before as the one to my vehicle. Messages left with Perkins corporate were not returned and they wouldn't respond to my insurance company either.
I never got the chance to learn the quality of the auto work they do, but whatever it is, do you really want to do business with a company that is dishonest and won't communicate?
Please note that my previous experience was good which is why I came back. I dealt with an older man who looked like he managed the place and got my windows fixed.
The next time I was here, I dealt with a different couple (guessing they are married but I have never seen them before previous to this) - older woman and man (who is the owner) and it was very disappointing. I was here to get my belts changed and air conditioning fixed (that is all I wanted because my conditioning was out in this hot kc weather and the man told me if I was going to get one thing fixed, he would start with the belts).
Maybe it was is miscommunication or I misheard the price but I thought they told me 370 something when I dropped off my car which I thought is reasonable but when I picked up my car it was 1370 something. I was shocked. So basically they did EVERYTHING on that recommended list from last time rather than just air conditioning/belts changed that I thought was being done. NO, they did the whole gamet including thing I definitely DID not need.
Of course the work was done already and the lady claimed she read everything that was being done to my car before I left and over the phone which is a lie because it would have taken her a long time to go over it. The man of course said that the price was repeated me to 3 times and said it was okay. ALL I have to said if you guys decide to use this place, make sure they print out or show you exactly the work they are having being done to your car BEFORE you go and sign off on that otherwise you may experience a VERY unpleasant surprise like I did. Beware!
