Dr. Karani decided to become a vascular surgeon because of the integration between patient care, variety of pathology, fine surgical techniques, use of technological advancements and imaging modalities. It gives her the opportunity to treat patients from all backgrounds and a multitude of medical conditions. She enjoys giving her patients both surgical and non-surgical options to treat their vascular conditions.In her life, Dr. Karani says her family has been the biggest influence. Her parents' work ethic and drive set the foundation for her professionally and her sisters' support and encouragement helped her to pursue a fulfilling career. In her free time, Dr. Karani enjoys cooking, traveling, musical arts and volunteering with animal shelters and Habitat for Humanity. She is new to Michigan and excited for the opportunities that Bronson and the community has to offer.I am very grateful and fortunate to be able to practice the art of medicine. It involves building a relationship of trust with your patients and their families and promising to provide them with the best care possible. Every day that I am able to help people and make a difference helps me become a better physician for my patients. With emerging technologies and evolving evidence-based medicine, I strive to be provide recommendations for my patients that take into account components of lifestyle modification, a discussion of plans and goals and providing good outcomes.
