John Paul Sarosi, Inc. Numismmatic News ad showed a 1941-47PDS Walking Liberty half dollar set, choice lustrous AU/BU for $420. I was shocked that all of these coins were cleaned with a grade condition of only fine. I returned the set on February 9th. I spend $18 plus cents returning this set and I insured it as I didn’t trust this company.I requested reimbursement of my postage cost since he did not send me the set that was advertised. Near the end of February I did received my refund credit, less his $18 for his postage cost sending the coins to me. I contacted my charge card company and explained what happened. They are working for me to recover the shortage of my refund.

I called to inquire about a purchase that hadn't been shipped. I was hung up on twice and then yelled at and accused of being a telemarketer. I explained that I was a customer and was yelled at some more. Then, I was passed on to his wife who justified his actions, told me that my purchase failed. This is a lie because there was plenty of money on my card. I told her to cancel it and she hung up on me. These people have no scruples. I've also read reviews that state that this company re-engraves, wizzes, cleans and dips their coins. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

I called there on 6-10-08 and asked about buying AU morgan dollars and or BU morgan dollars. The guy who answered was totally rude and said very simply that they did not do that? I was calling regarding an ad they placed in "numismatic news" about selling, among other things, AU and BU morgan dollars. Then Mr. Customer Service hung up. I called back and he was even more rude when I said there must be a misunderstanding. He asked if I had a problem and that he would not sell me bu morgan dollars. Anyway beware of this sorry A@* company.
