Island House

My 4yr old had to use the bathroom, so I took him. The shop's "dressing room" was a bathroom. There was a small sign on the outside of the door which read "dressing room". We came out and were immediately verbally attacked by the sales lady who demanded to know if we had used the bathroom. She said "it's a private bathroom". I said 'I'm sorry, I didn't see any signs saying that". She replied "we don't have to put up a sign". Like customers r just supposed to be mind readers?? I politely said that maybe they should put up a sign to avoid confusion in the future. Long story short, the woman wouldn't back down with her illogical argument about not having to put a sign. It took another sales lady to come over and ask her if she could let it go. The old lady was rabid, gave me a dirty look and left the shop. When she returned, she never apologized for being rude. That is no way to treat customers or represent Jekyll Island which thrives on tourism. Don't waste ur time or $!!
