For the majority of spinal disorders that require surgery, a minimally invasive or less invasive treatment option is now available. We will never recommend a larger surgery when a less invasive one is possible that will help achieve your goals. Surgery is not always necessary or even indicated for many spine conditions.         My expirience with Dr. John Spears and the Mo Spine Institute was a horrible one. I have seen 4 other reputable drs. over the years for back problems, and have been diagnosed with several problems. I heard about the MSI, and decided to see if anything could be done to help me.Dr. Spears was loud, rude, and over-bearing. He pretty much told me that I don't have all that much wrong with my back. Well, other drs. and my constant back pain tell me otherwise! He did not listen to me at all! I would NOT recommend that anyone else see him!

        Very dissaointed in Dr's attitude

        I went due to insurance and Atty requesting another opinion and found Dr John Spears very Rude and did not listen to me. Dr Spears told me You don't get it" I do get it and found his attitude of refusal to listen totatly unaceptable. I can provide health care professionals who know my history and would discount this Doctors words and make him look very bad due to his comments.Dr Spears has a wonderful reputation as a surgeon if you can get past his non existant listening skills and telling me that I do not know what I am talking about. I am very dissapointed in this visit and would never go back to him agin. Nor would I recomend Dr Spears to anyone.
