Here with us you can enjoy a professional cleaning in which a certified hygienist (ours are the best in Jefferson City, if we do say so) will gently cleanse and polish your teeth. These are imperative every six months for best results and longevity of your teeth. We also recommend patients have digital x-rays taken yearly. This helps Dr. Cardon to more precisely detect infection and other issues before they exacerbate. This also allows him to observe the general wellness of the jawbone and the teeth. We use digital x-rays as an alternative to traditional x-rays in order to impart less potentially-harmful radiation onto the patient. Everything we do, every innovation we employ, is in an effort to create a more pleasant, safer environment and experience for you. As a protective effort against tooth decay, we offer fluoride treatments to our younger patients. Children between the ages of six and fourteen are extra susceptible to cavities. To evade this problem for your child, we offer topical fluoride treatments and sealants, both of which provide sustained security in the event of an attempted infiltration by fast-decaying bacteria.

Dr. Cardon is a 1985 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School. He completed a General Practice Residency at Offutt Air Force Base in 1986 and a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in 1998. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2007. Dr. Cardon has treated thousands of patients with missing teeth, damaged teeth and discolored teeth, utilizing the latest technologies like dental implants, veneers, and teeth whitening.

Once a doctor sets the consultation, the patient is ready to start the process to receive dental implants. The only general requirements for this procedure includes for the patient to have healthy gums and good oral hygiene, then they can be considered for dental implants. The procedure that is performed when placing dental implants can vary from patient to patient. Overall it is a similar process that includes creating a mold of your current bite and placing the dental implants where they best belong. Keep in mind the time frame can take up to six to eight months depending on the severity of the patient’s gum. In the last stage when you have received the crown, you can expect some soreness after the procedure, swelling around the gums, and minor bleeding. This is nothing to worry about as for every surgery has its sensitive recovering time. This process does require some time and patience, but the procedure can change your life forever. It may take a few weeks for the area to heal absolutely, but when you first look at your new smile, you’ll feel like a new person!
