Founded in 1996, Cardiodyne, a subsidiary of Trimedyne, develops a heart revascularization laser system for cardiovascular surgeons and cardiologists to treat coronary artery disease in the state of California. Founded in 1980, Trimedyne is a publicly traded company and is a manufacturer of lasers and disposable fiber optic delivery devices for use in a variety of surgical applications, including urology, orthopedics, gynecology, and ENT and general surgeries. The parent company's lasers and proprietary delivery systems are designed to reduce the bleeding and trauma of conventional surgeries. Trimedyne also operates Mobile Surgical Technologies, which is a Texas-based company that provides lasers and other equipment for hospitals, outpatient surgery centers and physicians.
