Dr. Newhouse is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and, most notably served as the 2012 2013 President of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP). Dr. Newhouse undergoes the rigorous continuing certification process every six years to ensure that she remains on the forefront of periodontology.Drawing on her commitment to best practices, she has provided caring attention and expertise to her patients since opening her first office in Independence, Missouri in 1985 and has placed and maintained dental implants since 1990.         One generally dreads the dental appointment, but not in this instance.
