        I had a double bacon cheeseburger and fries. My grandma had the same burger and chips and we both got a soda and then we took 3 pastries home. Was just over $20 for all. Great prices. The burger was amazing. I was dropping in grease which may not sound appeasing but was One of the best burgers I have had in a long time! It was enough to fill me so I couldn't even finish my fries. And my pastry was the apricot Danish. It was so good. I'm definitely going to go very more.

        The deli sandwiches are wonder...

        The deli sandwiches are wonderful. The burgers are competitive with Westport Flea (which is considered one of the best places in KC). The potato salad and coleslaw are great, and the donuts are drop dead wonderful. Also, you get great service. I am a local, and most eateries on the square are owned by one man who provides a mediocre food product. Dave's is owned by a small business family that provides an excellent product. It's always packed and for good reason!

        Owner, Peter Lee operates "Dave's Bakery & Deli" as a friendly, one-of-a-kind, neighborhood bakery and sandwich shop. The quality and price are very competittive with the best of it's kind -- like Lamar's Donuts and Subway or GoodCents. I hope he continues to do well ! Try their Ruben ..... lots of meat! The grilled salmon sandwich is excellent [new in 2011].
