My undergraduate degree was obtained from Case Western Reserve University and my medical degree was received from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. I trained in pediatrics at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset before going into psychiatry training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in N.Y.C. I then moved to Boston and trained in Child Psychiatry at Tufts New England Medical Center where I also completed a fellowship in psychopharmacology. I remained on staff at Tufts where I became the Director of the Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Team. Returning to New York, I became an in patient psychiatrist at Holliswood Hospital treating both adults and adolescents. After leaving that setting I worked as the Medical Director of Peninsula Counseling Center in Woodmere. I have been in private practice since 1984 and I now devote most of my professional time to this activity.
